Since the shop closed early today I decided to listen to this 45 rpm vinyl record of The Doors. They were an American band formed in the year 1965 in Los Angeles California. It is composed of vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Rey Manzarek, drummer John Densmore, and guitarist Robby Krieger. Their song genre is psychedelic rock, acid rock, hard rock, blues rock, and jazz rock. The record that I have is Philippine pressed by Mico Industries Inc. and is under licensed from Elektra Records.
My copy of The Doors record has some chips on the edges and it affected the first parts of both of the songs. And there were scratches that ate visible. Aside from that the background noise was also loud and you can clearly hear it while the songs are playing. Now I really wished I have a more decent copy of this 45 record.
The first song on the record is Light My Fire. Tracktime is about 2:52 and released on April 1967. It was written by the band members and produced by Paul A. Rothchild. The song also hit number 1 on the US Billboard top 100.
The next song is entitled The Crystal Ship. Tracktime is about 2:30 and released on April 1967. It was written by the band members and also produced by Paul A. Rothchild. They say that the song is dedicated to John Morrison’s former girlfriend.
