Old Sewing Machine Repurposed Creatively

Old Sewing Machine

Here in my junkshop some old sewing machine are being sold as scrap a few years ago. I noticed that the sewing machine base was very well-built. The old singer one’s most specially. Just last December 2014 I decided to collect them instead of weighing it and selling it for scrap. I asked my workers to look some old sewing machine bases and bring it to me. I then paid them per piece instead of weighing it. When January 2015 came the old sewing machines bases started to arrive some even have the head and the wooden body intact. With just some creative thinking I can make something out of them.  I was really glad that I was able to collect these old sewing machine. I was planning on repurposing the old sewing machine bases to make it usable again. But due to time constraints and having a busy schedule I didn’t have the time to repurpose one. I also need to do some creative thinking to make one. Since the old sewing machine bases was piling up I then decided to sell some to my fellow pickers in our local Facebook Group. I left some for me so that I can repurpose it when I have the time. Below are some pictures of the old sewing machine that I once owned.

Old Sewing Machine Repurposed

After I sold some of the old sewing machine. I did a little bit of research of what i could do creatively with the one’s that were left to me. Since I can’t do some creative thinking because of my schedule. I then decided to ask some of the members in our local Facebook Picking group if they could lend me some of the pictures of their old sewing machine that they repurposed. Gladly they accepted it and sent me some pictures of it. I was inspired with what they did with the old sewing machine bases. And you really need some creative thinking in order to come up with some of the things that they do with it. Below are some of the pictures that they sent together with the names of the people who gladly lent me their pictures. Hope that you also will be inspired with the pictures that you see below. If you also have some repurposed old sewing machine that you want to share kindly leave a comment and I will happily get back to you and post the pictures here. Thanks a lot.
