Culture Clubs second album Colour by Numbers was released in October 1983. It was the band’s most successful album. And also one of the mosth popular albums in the 80’s. It has sold over 16 million copies worldwide. This album by Culture Club also produced a number of hit singles like Karma Chameleon which ranked number one in many countries. Church Of The Poisoned Mind went to the tops ten in some countries. Miss Me Blind also received some success in some countries. It’s A Miracle beacem a top 10 or top 20 in some countries. Victims was also in the top 5. All of the songs in the album were written by O’dowd, Moss, Craig, and Hay. except for the two songs Karma Chameleon and It’s A Miracle which was written and composed by O’dowd, Moss, Craig, Hay, and Pickett. The Copy that I have was pressed in US by Virgin Records and it was produced by Steve Levine.
Colour By Numbers album by Culture Club received many praises. Smash Hits magazine even gave it a rare 10 out of 10 score and commented that it was a fun and enjoyable record to listen to. Allmusic gave it a 4 out of 5 score and said that the songs were infectious and the band was very charismatic. Rolling Stone gave it a four out of five and said that it cemented vocalist’s Boy George place in music history. In 1989 Rolling Stone Magazine ranked the album number 96 in the top 100 Greatest Album of the 1980’s. If you are a new wave fan you should definitively must have a copy of this album by Culture Club
