Lemo-O-Lime-Bottles |
One of my men asked me today if I was interested in buying this antique bottles. Since he knows that I am into collecting different things. I said that I did not know what Royal Lem-O-Lime was all I know is Royal Tru Orange. I asked my mom and she said that she used to drink it when she was still a teenager. And so i did a little bit of research and found out that it was from the 60’s or the 70’s I decided to buy the 2 bottles for 100 Pesos (2.22 USD.) Maybe I can get my money back or profit a little by selling a bottle and keeping the other one for myself and start a new bottle collection. Also got three RC Cola bottles that was used in the 70’s.
Royal Lem-O-Lime was manufactured by Royal Tru . It is a citrus flavored soda that became popular in the 60’s and the 70’s. It was eventually discontinued. Royal Tru had a number of fruit flavors like orange, dalandan, lime. Other flavors also existed before like lemon lime and ginger ale.
Royal Tru was first introduced by San Miguel Brewery in 1922. After five years San Miguel became a franchisee of Coca Cola. The Coca Cola Franchise and Royal Tru would eventually combine to become Coca Cola Bottlers Philippines and San Miguel would eventually sell it shares to Coca Cola Company.
